If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me; your right hand will hold me fast

And The Laughter Stopped
I wanted to let you know about a terrible thing that happened today in our apartment complex. My upstairs neighbor, L, committed suicide by drinking poison around 12 noon. She did it while her two kids were in the house. I don't really understand or know the circumstances surrounding the situation. All I do know is, a few days ago, there was a huge argument that happened among several of the ladies but I am not sure if that had anything to do with it.
L, by far, has been the most stand offish neighbor towards me. She didn't utter a word to me in the beginning besides asking me if I ate meat. But as the months had past, we had started talking more and more. She even came to our Christmas celebration and gave me a Christmas present. One thing about her was- she was always laughing. I could hear her laughter a mile a way. Nobody had ANY idea about her inner desperation and pain. Of course I can't help but have a million "if onlys..." running through my mind. Please be in prayer for her two kids and husband she left behind. Please lift up everyone in the complex, who have become like family to us. Just...pray.

Same Kind of Different As Me
This is a picture from a recent conference I went to in the big city. This is a cool guy that is leading us in a bhajan- which is a type of worship song. I was just thinking about how cool it was to meet this guy who is so different from me but deeply loves the same Father. How wonderfully diverse our Creator is!

Hey Friends
For those of you keeping up, I wanted to tell you that baby Silas is going to be transferred to a hospital in Bangkok, Thailand by care flight. He finally is off the ventilator and deemed stable enough to fly. You might remember, I went to Bangkok for my brain to a hospital that was AWESOME. So, we are praying that this will be a good move for Silas. He will be moved in the next 24-48 hours. Thanks for your continued prayers.

Update
Thank you for continuing to pray for my friends' baby Silas. He had to have emergency surgery that removed 1/8th of his intestine. He is still critical condition but he is a fighter. Its been a roller coaster ride thats for sure. Every time the phone rings, our hearts seem to stop beating for just a second because every phone call could potentially be life changing. Please continue to pray for J and A, for peace that passes all understanding to surround them. I think one of most touching moments happened right when they found out Silas had to have surgery. And J prayed "may I never stop praising Your Name, no matter what"
There is talk about possibly medically evacuating Silas to a nearby country that has better health care. It seemed like the doctors did just fine with doing surgery on him but don't seem to know how to take care of him now. Silas is a pretty important little guy to get his own airplane!
Thanks for praying ya'll!

Silas
Hey friends. I have a special request. Some dear friends who live in M Town with me are in great need of your prayers. Their baby boy (Silas) was born at 30 weeks and is now is in the NICU at one of the hospitals in the capital city. He has now developed a condition called NEC which basically means that part of his bowel is not working. Surgery is probable and the next 24 hours are critical. Please keep J and A in your prayers as well as baby Silas. He is a precious gift from the Lord. I just can't imagine what they are going through right now. As I leaned up against the cold hospital wall in the NICU this evening, I was reminded " My grace is sufficient, even now".
Volunteers
We just had this group of sweet ladies come visit from my home fellowship in Texas. We had some adventures and definitely saw the Father at work. Thanks ladies for your faithfulness!
