A family we chatted with for awhile. They view this river as holy so they are giving offering by pouring milk and placing flowers in it.

wow. that's so wild to worship stone, you know? But I guess we westerners could just as well be pictured bowing down worshipping our tv & computer screens & look even crazier. :)
