Cricket is just as popular as baseball or football in the States here. And right now, the World Cup is going on. Today there was a
very big match between two of the top rival countries. And let me just tell you it was serious business. I had a pastor flat out tell me to not come to his village today. The guy who irons our laundry (yes, I have a guy who irons my clothes..don't judge) told us to come back later. Even my landlords told me not to come today, and they ALWAYS let me come over. I think its the equivelent of trying to make a visit during the Super Bowl. So, I laughed. Enjoyed the momentary quite and didn't watch the game. It just proves that the love of sports is universal.
